Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics
Locations: Toronto
Monarch House is a child development centre providing seamless services to families impacted with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental delays.

Our approach to virtual care incorporates the use of advanced, secure virtual technology, and a full-service client concierge, to deliver effective treatment where you can connect directly with your clients to assist in their care as well as facilitate consultations.
As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as individuals of all other ages and needs.
Take an inside look at what you will do each day:
- Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists
- Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results
- Develop reports as required
- Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs
- Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals
- Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
- Collect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatment
- Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy
- Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions
Here is what you will need to be successful:
- At least 2 years’ experience working with children with ASD
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)
- Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field
- Member of college (COTO) and association (OSOT or CAOT)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Flexibility in scheduling clients

Salary: $72,500.00-$102,000.00 per year
