The International Relations Branch was created to advance and develop Alberta's strategic international interests and relationships, manage Alberta's international policy interests, and support Alberta's economic growth/recovery and diversification efforts.

As the Branch Administrator, you play a key role in supporting the administrative needs of the Executive Director of International Relations and the International Relations Branch at large.
Reporting to the Executive Director, your primary responsibilities include managing the Executive Director's schedule, coordinating, and reviewing action requests and other briefing materials, providing daily support services to branch staff, coordinating travel and meeting logistics for missions, tracking branch expenses, ensuring compliance with records management practices, and supporting contract management.
You will ensure the branch’s compliance with department and government requirements related to financial administration, (e.g. public disclosure of travel and expense directive), contract management, and human resource processes.
You will manage the cross-government Action Request Tracking System (ARTS) to receive, address and return briefings, documents, and other related assignments.
You will support the onboarding of new hires within the branch by ensuring they receive the orientation checklist, access card, IT equipment and office space, as required. You will coordinate requests through the BERNIE system to meet the software and hardware needs of the branch. You will represent the branch at division or department meetings related to administrative agendas and contribute to corporate initiatives, as required.
As well, you will identify administration issues with potential impacts to branch operations, manage branch-related purchases, coordinate facilities management requests, maintenance of physical assets, and ensure accurate inventories of IT equipment and other physical assets are maintained.
- High school diploma and three (3) years of related experience.
Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience, or one year of experience for one year of education
Assets:
- Working experience of software applications such as Action Requests Tracking System (ARTS), Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., 1GX), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Experience with financial management practices (e.g., P-Card and expense claims) and records management practices and legislation (e.g., FOIP Act, records retention and disposition schedules)
Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.

$1,884.99 to $2,307.87 bi-weekly ($49,198.00 - $60,235.00/year)
