Job Description
Continual Energy Inc. designs and deploys technologies and energy engineering services for heating, cooling, power generation, and energy management for a variety of mission-critical building applications throughout North America. The intent is to deliver and sustain the customer’s energy savings, cost savings and operational reliability. Continual is currently seeking a bookkeeper and office manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Contact and communicate with vendors and customers regarding AR and AP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and process payroll.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support year-end audits and tax filing processes.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with various departments within the company to provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software Quick Books is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in faced paced environment.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Three (3) weeks of vacation.
- Ten (10) paid days off (sick days).
- Health benefits package post ninety (90) day probationary period, includes dental and vision.
Schedule:
- Work week is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Other:
- Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.
- No remote work, all work will take place in the office.
