Connection I/E Inc. has an immediate opening for a Operations Manager
Job description
- Manage all aspects of the warehouse and logistics operations including inventory control – Inbound & , Outbound
- Opening and Closing of the warehouse
- Ensure and maintain all warehouse and logistics equipment are functioning properly
- Supervise the receiving, order picking, storing, and shipping of all products incoming and outgoing of the warehouse (arranging and scheduling local deliveries) in efficient and accurate manner.
- Control Inventory (e.g. Conduct Inventory Count) and allocate space for stock
- Receiving incoming local and overseas shipments and allocate space of incoming stock
- Lead team members with positivity to perform all warehouse and shipping duties
- Ensure team members respect their co-workers and the requirements of their positions
- Properly trained and ensure team members to carry out warehouse duties efficiently and accurately in accordance to company policies, procedures and standards.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in order to achieve efficiency and cost efficiency
- Be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, disciplinary action, and all other general employee assistance.
- Foster strong inter-departmental communication
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performances
- Oversee warehouse space utilization, day-to-day facility function with the objective towards maximizing cost efficiency.
- Proactively forecast and manage warehouse capacity constraints and work to avoid disruptions.
- This position reports directly to the Operations manager.
- Additional/Other duties as required.

Warehouse Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
REQUIREMENTS:
Wages based on experience paid bi-weekly
5+years of Warehouse experience
Previous team lead or supervisory experience is required.
Forklift certification is a must
History of working in food industry and having a strong understanding of food safety is an asset.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills, Cantonese speaking
Strong leadership
Strong organizational & time management skills
Strong people management skills and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and organization.
Able to work and to make arrangements under a fast pace, busy pressure environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills under stressful situations.
Capable to identify areas of improvement and to develop more efficient procedures
