Global Convention Services is currently seeking a result-oriented individual to join our cross Canada team as Team Lead - Event Installer working from our Abbotsford, BC location.

The Role
The Team Lead - Events Installer will provide hands-on leadership and support to our Event Installation Team before, during, and after each event to ensure each event meets client specifications and Global Convention Services standards.
The ideal candidate will have a safety-first mindset to ensure all provincial and federal safety requirements are communicated to the Event Installation Team on the job site and in our warehouses.
The candidate will be able to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members, and have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
· Liaise with General Manager and Operations Manager to develop and implement operational plans for each required event.
· Provide direction and support to Event Install Team during the event’s setup and dismantling.
· Install and dismantle trade show and other event rentals, including pipe and drape, carpet, furniture, signage, and all other required items.
· Check and receive all incoming and outgoing material handling.
· Load and unload equipment and freight by hand or using pallet jacks and forklifts.
· Ensure conformance to client specifications and company requirements before, during, and after each event.
· Ensure all installed equipment is left clean, presentable, and in working order for clients.
· When onsite, answer any exhibitor or client questions or direct them to someone within the organization who can help.
· Drive a safety-first culture
· Ensure and promote compliance with all workplace rules, procedures, and occupational health and safety (OH&S) codes.
· Additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
· Ability to give and receive direction, understand, and execute instructions.
· Works well in a team environment.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Basic math and measuring skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Certified Forklift operator or willingness to become Forklift Certified
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License an asset.
Ability to drive 5 ton truck with a level of comfort considered an asset
· Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
· Willing to work evenings and weekends as required

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
