POSITION: Manager, Clinical Operations After Hours
DEPARTMENT: Patient Services
CONDITIONS: Temporary Part-time (FTE 0.60)for approximately eight (8) months
HOURS: Approximately 45.0 Bi-weekly Hours
SHIFTS:Days / Evenings / Nights / Weekends7.5 hours & 11.25 hours per shift(subject to change)
WAGE RANGE:Scale Minimum MaximumNONU $52.72/hr $60.82/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Manager, Clinical Operations After Hours provides overall management, coordination, and clinical expertise of hospital-wide services during hours of duty (evenings, nights, weekends, Stat holidays, and other days as required) in a supportive, facilitative, and empowering manner.
- This position is responsible for, but not limited to, resource allocation/cost containment, staff utilization, bed management, patient flow planning, risk management, disaster response, and the promotion of service excellence and quality improvement across all hospital programs in order to optimize quality patient care.
- Clinically, the position provides expert support for complex patients/situations and crisis management/counselling for patients and families.
- Responsible for the coordinate the initial response to critical incidents, emergency codes, issues regarding Risk Management and Health & Safety.

REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor of Science in a Health Discipline
- Registered with the relevant professional College / Association in Ontario
- Membership in related Association
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant clinical experience
- Recent leadership/management experience (within the last 3 years)
- Experience with leading Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Proven facilitation, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated information technology/systems competency
PREFERRED:- Other related professional memberships/interest groups
- Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record
- Membership in Specialty related Professional Association
