Optomeyes Eye care is currently looking to add a Full Time Optical Assistant
We are a busy 6 Doctor Optometry practice that have been serving the Sea to Sky corridor for over 50 years.
We strive to provide quality eye care and exceptional customer service
Responsibilities:
Administrative duties include but are not limited to
- Greeting and checking-in patients. Answering phones
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
- Preparing, processing, and sending invoices
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment as well as all other areas of the clinic
- Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, billing , payments and third party extended medical billing
- Inventory management, ordering and receiving clinic supplies , including contact lenses and nutraceuticals
- MSP billing
- Sending referrals to specialist and GP's
- Entering electronic funds transfers for accounts receivable
Medical duties include but are not limited to
- preparing exam forms
- Pretesting patients ( specialized testing specific to ocular health)
- setting up the exam room for patient and optometrist
- ensuring that all patients are seen in a timely manner

You must be available for Saturday shifts on a rotating basis.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $19.00 per hour
