New Dimension Eye Care is a rapidly growing state of the art full-scope family-focused optometry clinic offering premium eye care services along with high quality eyewear.
(Only candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area [GTA - including Durham and York Region] and Toronto will be considered)
Uxbridge, ON
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that the clinic is running efficiently and smoothly through on-going communication with other staff members and providing instruction when necessary.
- Main point of escalation for all patient/staff inquiries.
- Work closely with the Director of the clinic to ensure the mandate of the clinic is met.
- Organize regular staff meetings and ensure new suggestions are implemented where necessary.
- Assisting patients with ophthalmic frame selection to suit patient’s aesthetic and performance needs.
- Educating patients about the best eyewear and lens choices for their lifestyle, based on doctor recommendations.
- Taking frame and eye measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear.
- Frame repairs and adjustments.
- Pretesting patients using state of the art diagnostic equipment including retinal imaging, visual field, auto-refractor.
- Submitting glasses and contact lens lab orders and working with labs directly for troubleshooting.
- Instructing patients on insertion, removal and proper care of contact lenses.
- Administrative tasks: Booking appointments; patient check-in/out; billing/invoicing; collecting payments and issuing receipts; processing referrals; checking patient coverage details and submitting insurance claims.
The Successful Candidate:
- Must have at least 2 years of previous optical or optometry office experience.
- Strong team-work skills and can work well in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Brings energy, enthusiasm and a professional attitude
- Passionate about providing a positive customer experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Detail oriented and able to follow through on tasks consistently and independently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and comfortable with learning how to navigate through an electronic medical records system
