Telesales Representative Job Description
Also known as a telemarketer, call center representative, or telephone sales representative, a telesales representative is responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships over the telephone.
The perfect candidate will exude confidence, be well-spoken, have above average energy, be exceptional at connecting with people, have a strong desire to learn and grow, and MUST know how to "close". Similar to that of a Barista, this candidate exudes excellent customer service attributes. They know how to relate to the customer and understand their needs.
As a telesales representative, you are responsible for soliciting sales over the telephone. Responsibilities include contacting potential customers, reading from a prescribed script, focusing on customer needs to close sales, and documenting customer information, purchases, and reactions.
A successful telesales representative has excellent communication skills as well as sales ability. You should be meticulous in keeping records, and able to handle all aspects of making a sale.
Telesales Representative Responsibilities:
- Initiating sales with potential customers over the phone.
- Building customer relationships.
- Asking questions to engage customers and keep the conversation going.
- Listening to the customers' needs to generate repeat sales.
- Gathering and documenting customer information, payment methods, purchases, and reactions to products.
- Keeping up to date on all products and informing customers of new products.
- Answering customers' questions on the products.
- Meeting sales quotas.
Telesales Representative Requirements:

This position is commission based, however, we will provide a minimum base wage guarantee for your first 30 days, as you are new to the position. All training is "in-house" paid training.

Monday - Friday; 8 am - 5 pm
