Community Courier is a local, same-day delivery company. Our drivers are the face of the business and are responsible for completing safe and efficient same day deliveries directly to customers homes and businesses throughout HRM. Our Owner Operators can choose to work 4 or 8-hour shifts on a flexible schedule; your earnings will be based on availability, shifts chosen, delivery volume, and efficiency.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are looking for Owner Operator Delivery Drivers to meet the needs of our growing business. Community Courier (a MICCO company) is a local same day delivery service company. Our Owner Operator Delivery Drivers are the face of Community Courier and are responsible for the safe and efficient transport of products direct to our consumers’ homes and businesses throughout the HRM.
Qualifications:
- Be 19 years of age or older with a great work ethic and customer service skills.
- Have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Have a clean criminal records check.
- Registered and inspected vehicle in good working order with valid auto insurance (minimum coverage limits of $2,000,000 CAD).
- Be comfortable with technology and have a mobile device so we can set you up on our delivery app.
- Be available to work 3 -7 days a week and able to deliver items ranging from documents to boxes up to 50lbs.
If you are self-motivated, service oriented and would like to work on a contract basis as an independent contractor, please provide a brief outline of your experience and skills.
Job Type: Freelance
Salary: $15.00-$30.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bedford, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- delivery driving: 1 year (preferred)
