In this role, you will:
Assist with Payroll processing and act as back-up for full payroll
Review and lock timecards, identify variances between Dayforce and IFS, and process corrections
Ensure finance related date is maintained multiple systems (Dayforce, IFS (ERP))
Assist with the onboarding of new employees
Update Payroll reconciliation workbook
Assist with the administration of all types of employee leaves including but not limited to, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Maternity / Parental Leave, Leave of Absences.
Accurately processing all new leaves of absence and leave changes in the systems used by Human Resources and liaising with Payroll as required
Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
Assist with preparing weekly and monthly reports such as a leave summary as required
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate brings:
A minimum of 2 years of payroll related experience.
Payroll Compliance Practitioner certificate or working towards is preferred.
Experience completing data entry in an HRIS system and/or a Payroll system is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner
You have detail-oriented, strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem resolution skills
Able to work effectively alone and within a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks with professionalism
Software requirements:
Proficient in Excel (advance level required)
Knowledge/experience working within an ERP (IFS preferred)
Knowledge of Dayforce is an asset
Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date as well as any COVID boosters recommended by public health authorities
You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
