Position: Segment Producer, Live Programming (The Good Stuff with Mary Berg)
Location: 299 Queen St W - Toronto
Salary: (Commensurate with qualifications and experience) - Unifor 723M (Group E)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required
- Generates entertaining and original segment ideas that are current and engaging for a daily, lifestyle in-studio daytime show
- Superior skills planning and executing unique in-studio, live to tape segments
- Chase and book the best possible guests whether an expert in their field, a makeover candidate or human interest story with a strong commitment to diversity & inclusion
- Relationship management and development, working with on-air guests and publicists to develop industry-leading content
- Keep up to date with the latest in lifestyle topics like food, gardening, home décor, DIY, organization, books, fashion and games
- Keep up to date with current human interest stories and social media trends and influencers
- Communicate and collaborate with the production team about every element of your segment
- Source the best video, images, and audio to support the segments
- Liaise with the digital team to develop complimentary content for digital and social media
- A passion for lifestyle content like cooking, gardening, home décor, DIY, organization, books, fashion and games
- A passion for human interest stories, pop culture, and a strong understanding of social media trends
- Post-secondary degree/ diploma in television production, broadcasting or journalism
- Strong editorial & storytelling abilities
- Experience in generating segment ideas and casting experts and real people
- Experience in setting up in-studio segments
- Experience in field producing will be considered an asset
- Proven ability to chase and book guests
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties, while maintaining focus and composure
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment while being self-motivated – a positive attitude is a must

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Job Location: Canada : Ontario : Toronto
Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
