Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for Program Assistant(s) - Casual (no guaranteed hours) in Edmonton, AB.

The Meaningful Work You'll Do:
You will be working in a Federal Halfway House whose primary focus is to assist the clients in making a successful transition to a responsible community life. As a Program Assistant, you are a team player who is dedicated to the supervision, support, assessment, and counselling of men or women on parole from federal institutions.
Supporting daily living, you have the ability to develop client relationships that are based on mutual respect. You have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clear, precise and detailed case reports. Using you’re your good decision- making abilities, you respond to difficult client behaviour in a non-reactive manner.
You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working in the human service field
- Training and experience with corrections, addictions, the criminal justice system or adult offenders is preferred
- Enhanced Security Check and Child Intervention Record Check are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $18.90 - $20.05 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Shifts: Overnight awake; available to work both week and weekend overnights.
