The Junior Project Coordinator assists with the overall project performance, including the management of costs and scheduling while maintaining excellent relationships with trades, subcontractors, and clients. They keep the Project Manager well-informed of progress, discrepancies, questions, and any impacts on project plan and schedule. Qualifications include a degree or diploma in a related discipline such as construction management, engineering, estimating, or project management coupled with 1 to 3 years of relevant project coordination experience.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide related administrative support to Project Supervisor and Project Team
- Aid Project Supervisor in the organization and distribution of project related documents and drawings from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Participate in operational meetings such as project delivery meetings, staff meetings, lessons learned, etc
- Opening of WO's and PO's in JD Edwards
- PO Report review for self and project team
- Weekly Project Time Entry
- WO/Job folder thorough review with estimator/project supervisor-arrangement of handover meeting as required
- Complete job request sheet and budget for job set up, generate billing lines / cost codes and work with and support project supervisor to manage the job including productivity tracking, cost tracking, generating weekly reports, generate monthly billings and perform job close out procedures
- Weekly meeting WIP review with project supervisor (SMJ/ELE). Review jobs/work orders status and update Service Project spreadsheet
- Collection and distribution of safety and insurance documentation to GC/Customer i.e. WSIB Clearance Certificate, Insurance Certificate
- Follows up with Subcontractors to ensure all relevant documentation is received in a timely manner
- Collect all information required for project binders. Update binders throughout course of the project. Binder to be presented to project supervisor within 4 weeks of job closing for presentation to the client
- Salary Recovery monthly to meet target
- Material procurement

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years' of project coordination experience
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- JD Edwards or an Oracle-based ERP system
- Able to obtain PWGSC Security clearance at a Secret II Level
