Position: Junior Project Coordinator
Job Description:
The Project Coordinator will support the Project Management team in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in project coordination, excellent communication, organizational skills, understanding of project management methodologies, and a willingness to grow with the organization to a Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Management team in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Assist in creating and managing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, sales, and customer service.
- Track project progress, including tasks, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Perform material reconciliation of fabricated, stock transfers and purchased materials.
- Assisting with proposals and change management estimating.
- Writing inspection reports.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project files.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering preferred, or a related field considered an asset.
- Experience in project coordination, preferably in an industrial construction environment.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with earned value analysis
- Willingness to travel as required to project sites across Canada and the USA
