Project Coordinator

Candu Field Services (CFS) performs inspection and maintenance services to the fleet of CANDU nuclear reactors operating around the world. These activities typically involve the design, build, deployment, and maintenance of specialized robotic tooling used for the primary heat transport system (fuel channels, feeders and steam generators). Our technical staff are experts in the design and use of complex tooling systems deployed during reactor outages in a radiation environment.
The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager or the General Manager and will be responsible for the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction work. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members, and will be responsible for identifying, planning and implementing various scopes of work.
The candidate is expected to support the preparation and execution of Candu Field Services work. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting field services teams and ensuring all aspects of work are performed in accordance with contracted scope.
This role will be based in Kincardine, ON.
Your role within the team
- Responsible for assigned scope of the project and accountable for performing duties that facilitate work progressing with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.
- Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, construction, quality client & subcontractors.
- Maintain a positive relationship with client project counterparts.
- Responsible for helping implement the project schedule and track budget for assigned engineering, procurement, construction segments of the project.
- Coordinates with Engineering to ensure that the technical documents are prepared in support of the project.
- Coordinates the preparation and delivery of project deliverables.
- Provides status and progress reports in support of the Project Manager.
- Ensure work is performed within quality program requirements.
- Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.

The ideal candidate
- University degree or equivalent, BSc in Engineering considered an asset.
- Experience supporting various type of projects including construction, manufacturing or engineering services projects considered an asset.
- An appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry considered an asset.
- Various work location in both field and office.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.
