Job Description
Reporting to the Manager – Dedicated Locates Program – the Project Coordinator is responsible to lead and coordinate tasks according to the commitment made by Promark-Telecon within the Dedicated FTTH Locate Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of locate services to ensure construction and drill schedule goals are achieved, as well as daily, weekly, and monthly reporting related to production and productivity.
The Project Coordinator will work in strong collaboration with the Manager and all other departments and divisions to optimize efficiency, resources, and equipment.
This is a Hybrid position will require some in-office work, some site visits, and also some opportunity for remote work each week.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Plan and schedule project activities and workload to meet committed weekly and monthly productivity and production levels.
- Ensure tools are in place to monitor progress and performance levels.
- Lead and attend progress meetings, as assigned with contractors and/or our Clients’ Representatives to update program status.
- Ensure KPI’s and dashboards are updated daily.
- Monitor and forecast locate delivery, size of locate team, and resource requirements.
- Measure trends and work with Manager to implement corrective actions when required.
- Work closely with control center team.
- Resolve roadblocks, work with all stakeholders to ensure effective communication and prioritization of construction schedules.
- Identify roadblocks hampering locate delivery and construction, ensure actions are in place for resolution, and communicate efficiently and effectively to the Manager.
- Monitor availability of resources to meet profile of work and advise Manager for actions.
- Explain variances and identify action plan.
- Coordinate locates’ requests, building access and municipality permits.
- Participate in process optimization, drive operational efficiency – ensure Promark is achieving an acceptable number of locate meters for each locator, remarks and re-locates are minimized or eliminated.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years in project coordination or field service operations with mobile service technicians
- Experience in managing operations for construction, excavation and locates
- Good communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Intermediate or higher level of knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Office, Word, PP required
- Highly effective communicator and a great team player
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience with business processes and results oriented
- Ability to learn quickly and use multi programs/tools available
- A diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field will be an asset
- Experience in subsurface utilities, telecommunication or utilities projects will be an asset
- Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is required for site visits

- Work closely with contractors and Promark technicians to ensure proper deployment and service levels are achieved.
- Capable to lead and influence teams and staff according to project goals.
- Participate, develop, and implement project strategies.
- Ensure projects are executed according to commitments and propose plan of actions when required.
- Single point of contact for our contractors and/or Customer representatives involved in the program.
- Meeting/exceeding monthly production KPI’s.
- Ensure appropriate reporting completed daily.
- Deliver locates on-time, and as committed to our customers.
- 60% of time in the field/office.
