Reporting to the Manager, Elevating Devices, the incumbent is responsible for the management, administration, coordination and development of all project stage gate phases including maintenance, replacement, overhaul, and State of Good Repair (SOGR) work undertaken which impact TTC’s fleet of elevating devices.
- Leads, manages and coordinates a variety of projects and contracts for the Elevating Devices section, including planning, design, and accounting.
- Assists with cross-departmental projects within the section and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides client consultation, cost benefit analyses, feasibility studies, technical reviews, and budget estimates with respect to maintenance, replacement, overhaul, and SOGR initiatives.
- Forecasts, develops, and implements, short and long term financial budgets for project requirements, in collaboration with other team leads and subject matter experts.
- Develops, monitors and controls open orders for various programs and initiatives.
- Manages the development and implementation of Operational Standards relative to projects within the section.
- Develops and implements project control systems, cost evaluation methodologies and performance evaluation criteria for consultant/contractor selection in accordance with established corporate policies and guidelines.
- Manages contracts, ensuring compliance with requirements and that budget goals and objectives are being met and provides reports and status updates as required.
- Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

- Completion of a university degree or college diploma in Business Administration or discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Project Management certification (CAPM or higher) is considered an asset.
- Elevating Devices Mechanic license (EDM-T or higher) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with projects involving escalators, elevators, and other related elevating devices.
- Sound knowledge of various engineering design principles, construction related practices, codes, standards and regulations and project management concepts involving several fields
- Knowledge of procurement/contracting principles, the development of contract documents, and the tender evaluation/award process
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and specifications
- Good understanding of technical matters related to engineered products/equipment, construction services and engineering/construction issues including sources for material supplies and services
- Knowledge of property law, union and trade agreements and construction contracts, project management concepts and practices involving several technical fields, cost control and scheduling techniques
- Sound judgement; well-developed analytical, administrative and leadership skills; excellent oral and written communication skills
