Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Develop & Coordinate activities related to the investment projects. Support the plant operations in activities related to engineering, process, operations, continuous improvement, environmental, health & safety.
Project Development
- Develop and manage projects as a Project Lead/Manager
- Drive the engineering solutions and projects in the facility.
- Study new equipment / machinery/installations and recommend efficient combinations.
- Design layout plans for plant and installations.
- Develop innovative manufacturing systems and methods.
- Conduct studies on the reliability/performance of plant installations and production systems.
- Make recommendations on ways to improve the capacity and satisfaction of standards.
- Resolve general problems associated with various process areas and packaging lines.
- Provide technical support to plant operations, maintenance department and the other plant areas.
Capex / Purchasing
- Prepare capex demands and supply the detail about costs when establishing.
- Implement and evaluate the projects/installations when they have been put into operation to ensure that the stipulations in the capex are met.
- Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations.
- Find sources and obtain prices from catalogues or vendors and prepare purchasing orders.
- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services for use or further processing by their establishment
- Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards with the cooperation of the Plant Operations Team (Project and Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Production Manager, Yeast Technologist, Quality Manager).
- Calculate the costs of orders and request payment or code bills to the department concerned.
- Prepare purchasing files, reports and price lists and keep them up to date.
Cost Management
- Analyze production costs and make energy reports.
- Plan and set the time frame for carrying out capital projects as well as subsequent technical and budget follow-up of such projects with the cooperation of the Plant Manager and Director of Engineering.
- Evaluate and inventory industrial installations and assets.
- Support Continuous Improvement program & initiatives
- Support ESG program & initiatives.
- Work with colleagues in the team to reach objectives.
- Work with employees to identify continuous improvements and ESG initiatives.
Human Resources
- Comply with corporate HR policy and procedures.
- Comply with applicable corporate policy and procedures (procurement, contractor management, health & Safety, etc.)
- Comply with Union Contract policy and procedures.
- Comply with applicable laws.
Other
- Other duties as assigned.
A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
- Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related study.
- 5-year experiences in manufacturing plant in areas of engineering, maintenance,
process, or projects.
- 5 to 10-years experiences in project management.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of electrical design & systems, mechanical design & systems, chemical process, and/or process automation & control
- Knowledge in accounting and budgeting.
- AutoCAD skills
- Strong Windows skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong Project Management skills
- Strong Technical skills
- Good oral and written communication skills. team spirit, dynamic, innovative, results oriented and autonomous.
OTHER FACTORS
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Occasional travel may be required.

- The employee may occasionally work at heights and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
