Salary: $65,000 - $120,000
AWFI is a custom millwork and manufacturing firm specializing in commercial projects that has been operating in the Toronto area for over 20 years. We are AWMAC and LEED certified and educated in the Disney Approach to quality service and have produced millwork in over 1600 construction projects internationally, 1000 of which in the greater Toronto area alone.

We are looking for an experienced architectural millwork project manager to join our team. You will plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. The overall goal of your role will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to the requirements and within budget.

What you would be doing?
- Are you able to collaborate with engineers, architects etc. and work towards the quality specifications of a project?
- Have you negotiated contracts with external vendors and were able to reach a profitable agreement?
- Can you determine the resources needed (manpower and materials) from start to finish while working in the framework of a budget?
- Can you ensure supplies and materials are ordered and delivered according to the schedule?
- Have you prepared reports regarding the status of your jobs?
- Can you review project plans and specifications and communicate, including scheduling intermittent phases to the team confirming complete scope?
- Can you trouble shoot any problems that may arise and resolve them?
- Have you worked with and mentor project coordinators depending on the size of the project?
- Can you conduct site checks monitoring progress and ensure that the project is meeting quality standards?
- Have you worked with manufacturing supervisors and problem solved for logistic issues?
- Have you hired sub-contractors and other sub-trades and allocated resources?
- Have you supervised and provided guidance to installers?
What is needed from you?
- Do you have 3-5 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial millwork?
- Do you have proven experience as an architectural millwork project manager?
- Can you fully understand architectural blueprints?
- Do you have knowledge in Bluebeam and other construction project software?
- Are you able to pull apart drawings and technical specs with a solid understanding of millwork?
- Do you have knowledge of various materials used in the industry i.e., metal, wood, acrylic, glass etc.?
- Do you have an in-depth understanding of millwork procedures, material, and project management principles?
- Do you have familiarity with quality and health and safety standards?
- Are you outstanding in communication and negotiation skills?
- Do you have excellent organizational and time-management skills?
- Are you a team player with leadership abilities?
- Are you able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties?
- Do you have previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills?
- Are you experience with high-rise millwork is an asset?
- Do you have a post-secondary degree in a related field?
- Are you ok with traveling to sites?
- Do you have a clean driving record?
