You as an Assistant Project Manager - Project Advisory & Management will:
- Collaborate with the project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Support the Project Managers by making schedule updates, establishing project controls, creating progress reports, and preparing bid and contract documentation.
- Participate in various project-related meetings and accurately document action items and major decisions in meeting minutes.
- Understand and perform document control functions, including tracking and creating of RFI’s, transmitting and tracking of submittals, and maintain project action list.
- Have prior experience in restoration projects, design management, construction contract administration, or project finances.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills, including proficiency in MS Project, Excel and word.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
- Take a results-oriented approach and be able to take action and responsibility.
- Show exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the capability to prioritize tasks to meet urgent deadlines and client requirements.
- Display self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the project objectives.
- Possess a CAPM certification, or PMP is an asset.
Is this the right role for you?
- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or project management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
- You have 2-4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling, project management and contract software
- Capable of travelling between multiple sites
