Be our next Geomaterials Project Manager
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Geotechnical team, based in our Burnaby office. Not only will you be given an opportunity to help bring local geotechnical projects to life; but you will also have a chance to collaborate with EXP team members across Western Canada on some very large and challenging projects!
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Coordinating and participating in field investigations and QA/QC inspections;
- Preparation of proposals and technical reports;
- Conducting detailed design and analysis for a variety of geotechnical projects;
- Coordinating on designs with other engineering disciplines for multi-disciplinary projects;
- Managing small to medium sized projects, including cost monitoring, schedule control, communications with clients, and contract documentation; and,
- Support the development of the Earth & Environmental group by developing relationships with existing and future client contacts, attending meetings, and supporting Business Development initiatives.
What your experience looks like
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university
- Must be registered with EGBC or another Canadian equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical and materials testing
- Knowledge of current pavement construction methods, materials and specifications;
- Land development market experience will be an asset.
- Expertise in mix asphalt design (Marshall and SuperPave) and familiar with the Ministry/Government directives on mix requirement;
- Experience with complex pavement investigations and design work;
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal);
- Motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated interest and sensitivity toward occupational health and safety and our quality management system
