JMT Consultants Inc. is a growing structural consulting firm seeking a motivated Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager to join our dedicated team. We seek a dedicated, organized, efficient Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager to join our team. You will work with the project manager in this role to coordinate and accomplish the necessary project tasks and requirements. The ideal candidate must have an eye for detail and a go-getter personality, ready to help synchronize all the project elements and make them operate successfully.

Responsibilities:
- Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects
- Assist the project manager in the day-to-day management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards, and schedule requirements are met
- Track and directly report project status updates to the project manager
- Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
- Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents
- Enter information into and manage the digital project databases
- Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion
- Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements
- Manage RFIs and Change Orders
- Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates
- Ensure the project adheres to a set schedule and is meeting the goals of the client
Qualifications:
- Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or detailing software.
- 1+ years experience as a Steel Detailer – willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication and the ability to read drawings
- Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance

Requirements:
- Diploma/certificate
- Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
