As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for job site management and will oversee the administrative and technical aspects of the design and construction of one or multiple building constructions.

This position is based in Oakville.
- Manage and Supervise general contractors and/or subcontractors providing construction services for one or multiple buildings.
- Administer and Ensure subcontractor compliance of safety, quality control, environmental programs and execution of temporary constructions and installations.
- Administer quality assurance and commissioning processes.
- Interact and meet with Project Client, Engineering Firms and Architectural firms to manage project issues while maintaining positive working relationships.Ensure constructability, operability, maintainability and safety during design process in cooperation with design team.
- Monitor and manage the project budget, minimizing costs while upholding the highest quality.
- Participate in the monthly job cost updates and projections.
- Assist with schedule development and maintenance. Closely monitor schedule and address variations with subcontractors.
- Coordinate Engineering services & support during construction.
- Review, approve and negotiate Subcontractor change orders.
- Coordinate and interact with other sectors and disciplines of the Project.
- Coordinate the execution and implementation of the project completion and turnover plan.
- Ensure contract compliance and monitor contract performance.
- Track project deliverables and information using Integrated project administration systems.
- Manage a team of field staff personnel such as field engineers and site coordinators.
- Manage temporary control measures, relocation and coordinate with third party utilities and traffic entities.
- Review subcontractor progress documentation and reports.
- Approve and monitor subcontractor execution procedures and processes.
- Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with the client for problem resolution and planning.
- Manage subcontractor back charges and change order approval.
- Assist in planning, review and coordination of subcontractor site setup and logistics.
- 8+ years' experience in all aspects of managing large lump-sum, construction management, or design-build construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Preferable Experience working on the construction of buildings as part of large-scale design-build projects
- Preferable Experience working on the construction of design-build mega projects
- Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related degree or comparable work experience.
- Strong knowledge of safety legislation and regulations and ability to enforce safety on site.
- Ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
- Subcontractor Management and Negotiation experience.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Proficiency in English oral and written communication (, French proficiency is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of work processes and procedures and ability to enforce quality work on site.
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
