The Project Executive is accountable for the strategic alignment and ensuring delivery of digital services, communication, technology services pertaining to business operations related to financial transactions and services. This includes the strategic planning and operation of digital services to ensure business objectives are met. It also involves working with the business organization in the successful planning, design and implementation of digital solutions that support the current and future needs of these organizations.
The Project Executive provides senior leadership and direction for corporate and line of business services, their associated business strategies, services and/or programs serving all government departments, agencies, boards and commissions, health and education sectors, as well as municipalities, universities, and arms-length corporations, ensuring alignment with government, departmental objectives and compliance with relevant legislation (including cyber security and privacy). The position leverages innovation, internet era ways of working as well as corporate technological advancements to support the transformation of government services and internal operations.
As part of the senior leadership team, this role is focused on the overall strategic direction, program enablement, effective management and delivery of digital services, programs and solutions, and helps lead the digital transformation across the Provincial government.
- Provide senior leadership in the strategic direction, priority-setting and management of projects with in CSDS and their related strategies, policies, and programs, as well as business plans, mandate, formulating, developing and administering legislative policy and accountability framework and identifying strategic priorities and outcomes in support of digital programs, services and initiatives.
- Deliver strategic, multi-departmental business/program digital transformation initiatives, including the strategic planning and execution of complex, multi-year and multi-million dollar initiatives; establishing initiative scope; establishing the business transformation agenda; establishing overall budget and schedule; establishing initiative objectives and business benefits; aligning appropriate methodologies, techniques and technologies to enable delivery of the initiatives; resourcing the initiative; and providing ongoing leadership to effect the delivery high quality solution and results that meet or exceed stated business objectives.
- Help design of digital solutions and technology program delivery supports, ensuring correct processes, resources, technology components, and decision structures are in place to deliver solutions that will meet new delivery approaches.
- Ensure the provision and facilitation of "end to end" service management of high quality, cost-effective business systems and the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems to support the changing requirements of government.
- Develop and maintain formal partnerships and informal relationships with key stakeholders across government (federal, provincial) and the private sector by establishing and maintaining a high profile as a leader in digital services and influencing the development of digital solutions for high profile, citizen centered portfolios.
- Lead collaborative teamwork and maintains effective communications across all departments about their business, digital needs and IT capabilities. This will include assisting the Deputy Minister and Executive team in leveraging digital services, information technology assets and resources from a strategic and tactical perspective, by providing advice regarding new technologies and methods that can be best aligned to the business requirements and key priorities of Government and its departments.
You possess a relevant undergraduate university degree in an area relevant to the position. Your degree is accompanied by senior leadership experience. You have project management experience and training. An acceptable combination of training and experience may be considered.
You have confidence in your knowledge, professional judgement, and ability to problem-solve complex issues in a collaborative and responsive manner, in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will also possess exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to establish genuine and collaborative relationships with colleagues both within the organization and externally.
You exercise sound judgement under pressure. You are organized and flexible, with the ability to multi-task and manage resources. Your excellent speaking and writing skills allow you to communicate information through various succinct methods, accurately and efficiently.

Pay Grade: EC 14
Salary Range: $4,309.95 - $5,387.44 Bi-Weekly
