Project Manager - National Initiatives, 1 year contractJob Description
What is the opportunity?
- National accountability for the management and implementation of initiatives for which they are responsible; ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and meet the requirements of the project’s goals
- Developing and maintaining business management reports as well as providing business analytics supporting national strategic initiatives undertaken by the business with a focus on Professional Practice Group (PPG) initiatives
- Supporting the development of new or enhanced technology & digital solutions, products, and tools to add value to clients, sha resolders and employees
- Ad hoc National Office support as well as support where required by Head, National Initiatives & Business Services
What will you do?
- Build and maintain several high-level project plans and executive summaries to ensure effective tracking of all project timelines
- Accountable for comprehending the scope and objectives of each assigned project to effectively coordinate the activities of each stakeholder/team member and ensure completion of the project timeline, including drafting future state of relevant processes based on the project objective and solutions identified, providing status updates to the Project Owners, Senior Management and communicating between internal and third party stakeholders
- Act as an escalation point to resolve issues, conflicts and remove barriers as well as promote innovative or improved methods to achieve successful completion of each project
- Develop and produce various business management reports using Excel and Tableau (including Sales Compensation Program, Referral Program, Fee Reports, National Ranking report, Various Business Updates)
- Develop and enhance new business management reports
- Work with CWM Operations, Process Re-Engineering and various other stakeholders by acting as the Project Sponsor Representative to identify/manage operations and technology related projects/programs from inception to completion including scheduling, organizing meetings, budgeting, production, approvals, communications, policy and procedure recommendations, testing and delivery
- Accountable to the Director, PPG, to assist with the oversight and completion of tasks related to various projects and initiatives, including the onboarding of third party suppliers and the design and implementation of proofs of concept
- Accountable to the Head, National Initiatives & Business Services to ensure that the technological infrastructure supports strategic direction and that the various technological components of the infrastructure integrate in a seamless manner
- Participate in strategic technology and business design initiatives, defining business quality requirements and delivering a targeted client experience
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 2-5 years of project management and/or project controller experience with a focus on business, finance, IT or related experience, preferably in Financial Services or Operations
- High degree of PC literacy and fully proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
Nice to Have
- Degree in finance, IT, accounting, business, or related field
- PMP Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access
- General knowledge of estate and trust services, custody solutions, investments, financial planning, counselling and taxation issues
