As an integral member of the Security and Parking department and subject matter expert in security systems, you will provide technology support to the physical security systems, as well as security device maintenance, testing, installations, and database management services. In addition, you will conduct and assist with investigations, liaise with service contractors as needed and provide client services to external departments for security related needs.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshooting systems related issues and investigate day to day occurrences
- Recommends replacement/update schedule for equipment reaching end of life cycle
- Reviewing and analyzing hardware reports and other data on trends
- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; investigating complaints; conducting tests
- Develops performance indicators that measure the success of the Security department and its integration within the THP community
- Oversee ID badging process
- Planning and execution of Capital Projects
- Training and development of Security and Parking staff on all systems implementations
- Performs Administrative Responsibilities and Data collection through security systems
- Readjusting equipment, repairing, or replacing inoperative equipment and testing for operation
- Ensures efficient operation and provides technical support of the security systems and software including cameras, card readers and access control computer modules
- Develop, implement and maintain security system policies and procedures that will reduce, manage and/or eliminate risk factors effecting patients, visitors, employees and assets
- Ability to perform periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with Security policies and guidelines
- Ensure all contractual obligations related security systems are met according to service agreements
- Ensure integrity of physical security systems
- Involved with Security recommendation for offsite security systems implementation.
- Oversee all aspects of RTLS, Patient Wandering and Staff Duress Management
- Involved with overseeing Fire Safety Operations as directed by senior management
- Job duties may change by Senior Management based on the needs of the department and THP
- Required to travel between all THP sites & other THP off site locations as needed
- Provide on call support as needed
Skills & Experience:- Minimum of 4-6 years of practical related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction schematics, operating and procedure manuals
- Project Management
- Physical Security Professional (PSP) credentialing from ASIS
- Familiarity with industry trends and standards
- Demonstrate uncompromising commitment to integrity
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with RTLS system
- Have familiarity with security administration tools, security scanning tools, web application technologies, technical security implementations, access controls, physical security controls and administration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint and common software tools to create reports
- Demonstrate an understanding and ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and make presentations
Qualifications:- At minimum, completion of 2 year college program in Electronic Control Systems or recognized equivalent required
- Axis Network Camera Certification
- CCNA Certification – CCNA Security/CCNA Routing & Switching
- Genetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast (Video) Technical Certification
- Genetec Security Center 5.x Synergis (Access Control) Technical Certification
- Genetec Video Management Software
