Spectorvision Optometristes is a small business in Montréal, QC H3W 2S2. Spectorvision has been a family-run community cornerstone for vision care in Montreal since 1958. Since then, we have committed ourselves to our patients by providing quality care to those from all walks of life with the utmost respect and patience.
We are looking for an Optometric Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preliminary eye exams, taking patient histories, coordinating patient appointments, and working closely with colleagues. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing quality care and enjoys working with a diverse range of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients
- Working together with Optometrists and colleagues to maintain fluid work flow
- Booking/Scheduling appointments
- Pretesting patients and other auxiliary tests
- Explain procedures and costs to patients
- Facilitate patient referrals to other health care professionals
- Ensuring the office is billed properly for exams, orders, and proper credits are issued
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of both English and French
- Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring
- Must be proficient with computers and able to learn new programs
- Able to demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
- Works well in a team
- Passion for learning and dealing with people
- Able to follow through on tasks with attention to detail
- Able to multitask
- Previous experience in healthcare field is an asset
- Customer service experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
