Veterinary receptionist position available at a high volume veterinary hospital in Kitchener, ON. While previous veterinary clinic experience is considered a definite asset, your passion for helping people and pets and ability to learn new skills quickly, is at the top of our must-have list. The East Village Animal Hospital is run as a non-profit, serving low income families, animal rescues / shelters, and Trap Neuter Return programs. All of our veterinary clinic team members remain positive and productive in a very fast paced environment, and enjoy providing excellent customer service in a compassionate manner. Our receptionists are responsible for fostering and implementing the EVAH Mission in the capacity of the Administrative Assistant, and working with the EVAH team to contribute to the overall operations of the Clinic front office. As a veterinary receptionist you'll maintain complete and accurate records of clinic patients, maintain clinic booking schedules for all medical and surgical appointments (public and volume clients), liaise with rescue/volume partners under the direction of the hospital manager, and encourage/train Clinic volunteers as required.
You must have availability to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-7pm. COVER LETTER required; include any volunteer and/or community improvement projects in which you have participated in over the past five years. A minimum of 1 year Veterinary Receptionist experience is preferred.
