Recruitment Specialist – Temporary
Sofina Foods, Mitchell ON.
Position Summery:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Recruitment Specialist is accountable for meeting the Plant‘s staffing needs for hourly positions to support business priorities by independently administer all aspects of the hiring process.
This is a temporary position to assist with our current vacancy gap and will be reassessed after 6 months.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the entire recruitment and selection process for hourly employees.
- Create and publish job ads in various portals.
- Source candidates and screen resumes and job applications.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees.
- Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates.
- Interview candidates, in person or virtually, for all hourly vacancies.
- Track hiring metrics, input and update onboarding material and assist with onboarding process.
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process via phone and email.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or working towards.
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter with hands on experience with various recruitment and selection processes.
- Familiarity with HR Databases and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of provincial employment and human rights legislation required
- Strong organizational, analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication, functional support and facilitation skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
