**This position can be fully remote or hybrid near Mitacs offices in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa or Calgary**
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will provide full-cycle recruitment support to the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers across Canada. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience in high-volume recruitment support, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. The successful candidate will be adept at administrative functions, including managing calendars, coordinating onboarding, and collaborating with various teams in the organization. The role requires a team player who is ready to roll up their sleeves to assist and support where needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with hiring managers and provide full-cycle recruitment support, including job posting, candidate prescreening, coordinating and scheduling interviews, reference checks, drafting and sending employment agreements
- Assist and support the Talent Acquisition team with all relevant recruitment activities and projects
- Provide guidance and consultation to managers on recruitment processes, procedures, and best practices
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for co-op positions
- Coordinate and schedule new hire onboarding and guide employees through completion of onboarding tasks
- Track recruitment related metrics
- Brainstorm with the TA team to provide recommendations for continuous improvements on recruitment practices
- Supporting Human Resources Operations team as needed
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resources or other relevant education
- One to three years applicable work experience, including office administration and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a client service focus
- Ability to embrace an ever-changing environment with openness and positive attitude
- High attention to detail and accuracy, along with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to always maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Working toward CHRL designation is an asset
