The Opportunity:
Kootenay is a specialized program working directly with indigenous individuals with developmental disabilities. The program focuses on integrating indigenous cultural awareness, developing independence and community awareness skills, developing family and social/community supports, making connections and finding resources, and recovery skills.
At URSA we are looking to add a Community Rehabilitation Worker (“CRW”) to our Kootenay team in a program that provides individual supports to develop or relearn their skills in order to maximize their independence.
Programming is person centered and delivered to empower the individual to achieve their goals. As the successful applicant, you must possess a minimum of a diploma in Human Services and/ or a related medical or rehabilitation services discipline. You must have experience working in a Community Program Setting with a minimum of 1-year experience working with indigenous persons, brain injuries or other cognitive disability. Preference will be given to those who have experience with supporting indigenous individuals and/or knowledge of available Calgary community resources.

What you'll bring:
- Candidates are required to possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in rehabilitation or related human services field
- Willing to work a flexible schedule to support the needs of the program and organization
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate services within a multi disciplinary team
- Experience working with individuals with cognitive disability
- Working with an understanding of Trauma-Informed Care and experience within the mental health or addictions field is considered an asset
- Have current Standard First Aid and level C CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clear Child Intervention Record Check
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license with 3 years clear driving record in Canada
- A minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
Salary: $20.18-$22.23 per hour
