This is one of two identical job openings available with Dr. Money's lab.
This position is located within a health-care facility, therefore, the successful candidate will be required to provide verification of full vaccination against Covid-19 provided prior to the start date, as required by a provincial health mandate.

Job Summary
The primary focus of this position will be to provide research and operational assistance for the research team and PI. The research program has several major projects including 2 COVID studies underway:
1. COVID-19 Vaccine Registry for pregnant and lactating Individuals (COVERED) https://covered.med.ubc.ca/
2. Canadian Population Serological Survey Utilizing Antenatal Serum Samples https://ridprogram.med.ubc.ca/cancovid-preg-antenatal-serostudies
3. Canadian Surveillance of COVID-19 in Pregnancy (CANCOVID-Preg) https://ridprogram.med.ubc.ca/cancovid-preg/
All three studies are coordinated centrally from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The Research Assistant will assist in research projects including assisting in collecting relevant information relating to current projects, maintaining records and databases, and entering data according to established protocols. Furthermore, the Research Assistant will play a role in assisting preparing and communicating materials for respective sites across the country.
Organizational Status
Reports to the program's Research Managers. This position may have the opportunity to be remote but will mostly be onsite. The successful candidate will work alongside the Research Managers, research staff, and other clerical and administrative staff members on related studies.
Work Performed
o Maintains research related records and databases, entering data according to established protocols, ideally experience with data abstraction/entering medical records
o Assisting with the review of data collection forms
o Performs basic literature research, such as searching for articles online or the library
o Support team efforts with internal and external partners
o Assisting with the preparation of ethics applications and renewals
o Organizing and participating in research meetings and virtual conferences
o Attending regular internal meetings of study team members
o Compiling reports
o Assisting with literature reviews
o Formatting study materials
o Organizing and distributing study materials
o Assisting with the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, and (poster) presentations
o Providing flexible support of administrative or other organizational duties as required by the PI; these may change from week to week as the areas that need support change
o Ordering and maintaining inventory of study materials and promotional items
o Carries out any other related duties as required in keeping with the qualifications and requirements of positions in this classification.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation, some additional training in a related field and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Health sciences research experience preferred.
- Knowledge of research environment an asset.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. - Web skills (e.g. social media) would be an asset.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
