Job Description
We are seeking a Golf Shop Assistant to Join the team at Niagara's Friendliest Golf Course! You will be responsible for managing tee time reservations, selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.
When you become a Golf Shop Assistant, you become the person who makes our customers feel welcome, excited and delighted to be out at the course.
This job entails the usual responsibilities of a cashier but in the most fun and relaxed atmosphere of a golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Manage on-course logistics (Speed of play, knowing who and where players are on the course)
- Answering phone call inquiries
- Managing Tee Time Reservations
- Explain & Suggest products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
- Enter and process customer orders
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Serving prepared food & beverages to go
- Cleaning and sanitizing Golf Shop facilities
- Assisting other departments when needed
Team members must be comfortable on camera as Whisky Run has a prominent social media presence and staff are required to participate in promotional material in a respectful and professional manner.
Shifts vary depending on the day of the week. At Whisky Run we host several leagues and events along with the day to day tee times for the golf course. The golf shop operates from 6am until approximately 9pm daily. Typical shifts are 4-8 hours but can extend longer during busier days.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must speak and write fluently in English
- Have a valid driver's license
Previous experience in retail/sales, customer service, golf or other related fields is preferred, but not required. If you have the right attitude, we want to hear from you!

- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
Salary: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
