Job Description
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing support to Customer Accounts within the Sales Organization through day-to-day administration related tasks involving to pre- and post-sale activities. The candidate must possess strong communication and organization skills, a sense of urgency, and demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. The Sales Coordinator must operate with a customer centric mindset and a passion to execute with excellence.
Responsibilities:
Customer Account Support:
- Develop and maintain documentation of key contacts, product portfolio, store lists and planograms.
- Coordinate sample requests, complete promotional forms as required, and manage advertising and promotional calendars, and flyer tracker.
- Assist with preparation of internal & external customer requirements.
- When appropriate, attend onsite meetings and account tradeshows.
- Complete customer forms as needed (admin, item set up, price approvals, etc.)
- Collect, consolidate, and distribute information across sales organization.
- Assistance in deduction and trade spend management for assigned accounts and support the process when required (deduction validation, audit, etc.)
- Administrative support for customer portals/setup along with key GTM enablers for efficient distributor management
Database Management
- Customer Portals
- Become subject matter expert on customer/retail portals and data sources (SPS, retail link, toolbox, GS1, IRI, DunHumby, etc.)
- Maintain vendor portal requirements by retailer through item maintenance, specs accuracy, retrieving data and reporting it as needed.
- Review inputs regularly to ensure data (price/item description) is accurate.
- Serve as primary point of contact for Customer Service and Finance when resolving issues.
- Price List (EDI / SPS)
- Ensure item setup and pricing are accurate for new items and promotional items.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in a sales support/project management role, ideally within a CPG (consumer packaged goods) organization
- Must have strong verbal & written communication skills, time management skills, and ability to influence without authority.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and experience with data manipulation (Pivot Tables, basic/intermediate Excel formulas, analytical mindset).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau is an asset.
- Must have proven experience in working with promotional grids & pricing tools for tracking purposes.
- Able to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
- Exposure to reporting / analysis on promotional evaluations, key account metrics, inventory analysis etc. are a plus.
- Attention to detail is vital for this role.
- Basic French proficiency is a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
