Eberhardt Foods Limited, one of the largest independent suppliers of products to the food service industry in Western Canada, has been servicing restaurants and food establishments for over 35 years. Our Sales Representatives are responsible for selling products, and building relationships with new and existing accounts. Their main focus is to help Eberhardt customers succeed while achieving sales goals.
A successful candidate will be expected to maintain each customer within credit terms, and will be responsible for consistent growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a regular sales call cycle to visit existing customers on a consistent basis.
- Develop and update a sales funnel of potential customers including summary of visits with appropriate follow up to continue growth within territory.
- Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
- Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
- Work closely with Sales Manager to achieve quarterly/ yearly goals and objectives.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (for example, out of stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.).
- Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events.
- Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.
- Lift/carry product weighing up to 50 lbs, to and from car, warehouse, customer locations, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional sales and partnering skills, with the ability to identify customers’ business needs and apply knowledge of company products and services to assist customers in meeting their needs and achieving their goals.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Must be self motivated and results oriented.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
- Food service experience is preferred for this role.
- Completion of post-secondary education diploma or degree (experience may be considered).
- Basic PC skills, proficiency with MS Office and GSuite.
- Experience with Distrib-u-tec ERP is an asset.
- Reside or willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of Edmonton.
- Valid driver's license with clear driver's abstract.

Salary: $58,000.00-$64,000.00 per year
