OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Field Sales Specialist to execute sales activities in the Ottawa, Ontario area to a designated list of retail, hospitality, and vending accounts, build retailer relationships and networks, resolve complaints/issues, prospect for new business, and manage inventory of instant tickets at vending sites, all in an effort to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.YOUR ROLE IN THE GAMEReporting to the Manager, Field Sales, you will be empowered to:
- Prospect for new retailers in order to boost sales and coverage
- Manage inventory of instant tickets through proper allocation and merchandising of product at retail and in self-serve vending machines
- Analyze sales trends in assigned districts and develop recommendations on retail promotions and sales to be submitted for the approval of Manager Field Sales
- Analyze retailer information, conduct a profitability analysis include ROI and breakeven analysis to determine entitlement for terminal allocation
- Manage store level complaints and implement corrective actions to ensure swift resolution. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate retailers’ needs on an ongoing basis to ensure their needs are fulfilled
- Provide training to retailers on new processes, procedures, rules and regulations, sales promotions and contests, new product offerings to create awareness and ensure compliance to guidelines
- Engage in special project assignments (managing account merchandizing plans and compliance, negotiating premium space, etc.) to promote existing/new channel development
- Be accountable for keeping merchandise and POS current and in good repair both at retail and in remote storage unit.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAYWork Experience: 3+ years of experience across the sales lifecycle including prospecting, need identification, qualification, negotiation, upselling and cross selling; field level experience in account management and issue resolutionEducation: Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Service, or a related fieldSkills & Knowledge: Knowledge of sales management tools and techniques, key account management, demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, product allocations, channel management etc.; Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, Olep, GeoMapping and CRM; Ability to travel frequently (sometimes overnight) within Ontario; ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis; Excellent organization and time management skillsResults Driven: A problem solver and negotiator, you take initiative, deliver quality work, and have the flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to meet operational needsCommunication and Collaboration: A relationship builder who communicates effectively and demonstrates leadership, confidence, and integrityLicenses, Registrations, Certificates: Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s LicensePERKS OF JOINING OUR TEAM- Part of a Bigger Picture: socially responsible company that gives back all its profits to the province and people of Ontario
