Fusion Security continues to grow and provide professional security services throughout Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, with clients in a wide variety of sectors, including government, retail, commercial sites, industrial sites and residential areas. Fusion Security is seeking an experienced, energetic, and a customer-focused security professional for a position of Security Supervisor (Full time, day shifts).
The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for supporting and supervising security officers. Strong knowledge and understanding of company policies and security procedures will be required. Other operational roles and duties in a supportive capacity may be assigned from time to time.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting building patrols
- Training staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Co-ordinating activities with other client employees, departments, and contractors
- Conducting briefings for special coverage assignments
- Assessing and coaching staff
- Assisting with alarm response
- Liaising between clients and staff in emergency situations
- Auditing reports
- Other administrative responsibilities as directed by Fusion Security Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- At least 3 years of security experience
- A valid BC Security License
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 is an asset
- Class 5 Driver's License is an asset
- AST (Advanced Security License) is an asset
- High school diploma is required at a minimum, however post secondary education is an asset
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills (including phone, email and report-writing)
- Experience and demonstrated skills in conflict resolution
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making skill in sensitive situations and/or emergency incidents
- Previous experience and recognizable skills in personnel management, including coaching and leadership
- Strong computer skills (including use of Tracktik software)
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
- Strong organizing and planning skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and also without close supervision
- Good physical condition (ability to both sit or stand for long hours)
