We are currently seeking a server to contribute to the success and operation of Cornwall’s Pub.
Rockport, Ontario is a quaint village located in heart of the 1000 Islands, an internationally known tourism destination, offering seasonal sightseeing boat tours, waterfront dining and accommodations on the St. Lawrence River. The 1000 Islands region is also home to the famous Boldt Castle on Heart Island.
Our location provides the most unique and scenic backdrop highly sought by both tourists and residents. Along with being the leading cruise operator in the 1000 islands Rockport Boat Line operate three distinct restaurants on the river’s edge. These include Cornwall’s Pub, the Boathouse, and Island view restaurant. All three restaurants provide a pleasurable dining experience within different segments of food and beverage and hospitality. Cornwall’s Pub is popular with both local patrons and visiting tourists.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a server you will be working at Cornwall’s Pub. Cornwall’s is a very popular and busy restaurant and bar. This is a fast-paced environment that requires focus, time management and the ability to solve problems quickly. You will work in a team environment providing fast, efficient, and pleasurable guest experience. You must be highly energetic with attention to detail while maintaining the highest quality of service to patrons.
The successful candidate must be attentive, reliable, and focused on creating an amazing guest experience in a fast-paced, fun environment with a willingness to learn.
Under the supervision of the Restaurant Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Server include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties Include:
- Prepare tables for service and clear tables.
- Create a memorable dining experience for guests
- Sanitize and clean tables preparing them for new guests
- Use POS to create orders and edit tables
- Welcome guests and assist with seating arrangements.
- Assist with food service and bring beverages to guest’s tables.
- Cooperate with all serving and kitchen staff to provide an excellent guest experience.
- Prepare bill and operate POS system for payment transactions
- Follow all health & safety policies and procedures
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience not required but an asset; training will be provided.
- Smart Serve would be an asset.
- Ensure uniform is clean and presentable.
- Enjoy working with people in customer service oriented environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Transportation required to work location (no public transportation available)
