These home support positions require travel throughout the West Island and are based at the Pierrefonds CLSC.
As an ASSS, you will be working with people who are losing their autonomy due to aging in order to assist them in their daily lives and contribute to their maintenance at home.
As part of his/her duties, the ASSS :
- Travels in the living environment and assumes a series of tasks aimed at accompanying and supporting the user and his/her family in the accomplishment of activities of daily living or domestic life;
- Promotes the integration and socialization of the user in individual and community activities;
- Ensures the hygiene, well-being, comfort, supervision and satisfaction of the user's general needs;
- Performs the installation of certain devices or provides certain more specific care for which he/she has been trained;
- May be called upon to prepare meals or to do housework;
- Informs the team members of his/her observations on the needs of the client and his/her family;
- In collaboration with the other caregivers, participates in the identification of the user's needs as well as in the development and implementation of the service or intervention plan.
Work schedule: Day - 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and evening - 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
NB: The selected candidate will be required to work one (1) weekend out of three.Requirements :The desired candidate :
- Holds a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) completed in Assistance to Persons at Home (APAD) or in Assistance to Persons in Institutions and at Home (APED);
- Is able to establish a therapeutic relationship with a French and English speaking clientele (bilingualism);
- Has a valid driver's license and a car to travel within the CIUSSS territory;
- Demonstrates professional autonomy;
- Is properly vaccinated against COVID-19, unless contraindicated.
