Job Description The Social Worker in the Emergency Department (ED) plans, implements and evaluates patient assessments and evidence based treatment. The Social Worker, using a patient and family-centred approach, will provide individual treatment, with a focus in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. The successful candidates will promote a psychosocial perspective congruent with social work training.As a member of the interprofessional team, participates in formulation of individual treatment programs; collaborates with other interprofessional staff and community partners to develop, implement and evaluate person/family-centred programming. Maintains Standards of Practice as defined by the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. The successful candidate's home site will be the St. Catharines Site; however, travel between sites of Niagara Health will be required.
