We are currently looking for a PeopleSoft Developer to join the Business Applications Team within the Information Management and Technology Portfolio at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your technical application expertise to analyze, design, develop, configure, test and support the PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM applications to ensure they operate with maximum stability and efficiency as the systems continue to evolve and grow.
Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
- Working closely with users, Application team members, Stakeholders, HR and Finance Systems Analysts, Business Analysts and internal IT staff to analyze and resolve system problems.
- Analyzing, designing, developing, configuring and testing new programs, functionality and reports within SickKids’ PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM v9.2 applications and related systems.
- Participating in major projects, upgrades of existing functionality, and implementation of new modules.
- Ensuring functional/business requirements are clear and translated into appropriate technical documentation and development which meets the business requirements.
- Serving as liaison between the various stakeholders and internal IT.
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of systems/applications programming and analysis experience.
- 5 or more years experience developing/supporting V 9.2 PeopleSoft HR and FSCM applications.
- Experience in the following: Payroll, HR, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Health and Safety, Position Management, Talent Acquisition Management/Candidate Gateway, Manager Self Service, Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) and PeopleSoft Performance Management would be considered a definite asset.
- Exposure to PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain Modules - GL, AP, PO, AM, T&E, GM, PC, AR and Billing, INV and nVision is a definite asset.
- 5 or more years of experience with PeopleTools (version 8.57 or higher), SQR, SQL, PeopleCode, Crystal Reports, Application Engine, PeopleSoft Component Interface/Integration Tools, Security and BI Publisher.
- Experience in PS Fluid and Mobile app deployment is a definite asset.
- Exposure to BI reporting tool ( Qlikview, MS Power BI ) would be considered a definite asset.
- 1 or more years of HTML /Javascript development experience.
- Good knowledge of traditional (e.g. Cobol) and object oriented (e.g. Visual Basic, C++) programming environments.
- Working knowledge of UNIX, Oracle, and Microsoft Office / O365 software (Word, Excel, etc.) are strong assets.
- Understands the importance of and demonstrates a commitment to fostering a culture of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
- Strong problem solving , analytical, and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Sound programming techniques.
- Ability to work equally as a member of a team or alone to carry out entire projects.
