The Network Subscriber Data team develops and operates various data access functions that enable wireline and wireless capabilities for TELUS. We aid in solving problems across all functions with a DevOps mentality. We employ best practices in development, security, accessibility and design to achieve the highest quality of service for our customers. TELUS has formed a partnership with Google to bring a Digital Cloud transformation to our services and will be working to move technologies to Google Cloud Platform.

This is your opportunity to leverage your technical abilities towards developing and implementing transformational solutions, influencing client-facing business units and other engineering teams to ensure effective interlock and ongoing improvements as it relates to network development and deliverables. You will hone your business acumen and presentation skills as you support business drivers including capability, architectural direction, and technology strategy.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to drive the right design and implementation of operational capabilities and tools required to manage the evolution of TELUS solutions
- Development of APIs and database technologies to support revenue generating initiatives around TELUS
- Develop and Support the Network Subscriber Data platform to ensure reliability and stability for our customers
- Improve reliability through establishing “best common practices” and the development and monitoring of key performance metrics for Network Services
- Strategize and migration of On-Premise systems to GCP
What you bring
- 5+ years of industry experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- 5+ years Software development experience using Java, Golang or Node.js/Typescript
- 1+ years of experience developing and deploying API’s in a cloud context
- Source code management and collaboration tools (e.g. Git, GitHub)
- Solid understanding of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Build shippable code using CI/CD/IaC techniques
- Experience with software development/supply chain tools (e.g. GitHub Action, Gradle, Npm, SonarQube, Artifactory, Linting, Waypoint)
- Solid understanding of testability when writing code
- Experience with Observability (logging, traces, metrics)
- Containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with OpenTelemetry is a plus
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as ability to work within a team
- DevOps mindset
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
