Location: Calgary
We’re seeking a Marketing Finance Co-op Student to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Team Lead - Marketing Operations Accounting, you´ll be working with a team of dedicated employees across North America.
During your work term, we will push you to be your best by exposing you to challenging projects and giving you the opportunity to take ownership of your work term. You will gain practical experience, develop technical skills to complement your academic learning, and gain exposure to future opportunities at our company. To succeed, you’ll need to cultivate and communicate a clear vision and set goals for yourself, whilst also juggling individual country specific targets.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Marketing Finance Co-op Student will be:
- Daily bank account monitoring;
- Preparation of payment runs;
- Posting Incoming Cash;
- Confirm price and settlement amounts with 3rd parties;
- Accurate and timely invoicing throughout the month and during Canadian and US settlements;
- Perform variance analyses of cash forecasts vs. actual settlements vs. SAP interfaced amounts;
- Prepare Treasury Summary for Cash Management purposes;
- Resolving payable/receivable discrepancies by communicating to 3rd party clients and internal teams;
- Prepare and analyze marketing's financial information for management reporting purposes;
- Prepare and book entries to SAP on a monthly basis;
- Participate in the monthly account reconciliation process;
- Respond to queries and provide information to internal and external auditors.
To be eligible for our co-op student program, you must be enrolled in a co-op/internship program sponsored by an accredited post-secondary institution.
Successful candidates will not only have a strong academic background, but also excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a team, a flexible attitude and the drive and desire to deliver results.
