As the leader of the IT operations team, the IT Manager is responsible for leading the planning and execution of IT projects for a variety of initiatives. The role requires a diverse and flexible skill set for supporting a wide range of applications and projects such as: working with 3rd party service providers to manage the security and stability of the AIDE Canada website and library service, delivering technical support to the rest of the AIDE Canada team, and managing new projects as they arise.
What you will do:
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Work to ensure the smooth operation of the AIDE Canada website (Sitefinity based) and the AIDE Canada Library site (Koha Based) by overseeing SEO, service, and publishing initiatives
- Provide ongoing support to the AIDE Canada and the Pacific Autism Family Network operational team on cross-functional projects
- Provide deskside and remote application/software support AIDE Canada and the Pacific Autism Family Network staff
- Create and monitor performance goals for direct reports
- Review service provider vendor support contracts, evaluate vendors and manage vendor relationships
- Recommend and implement technology along business / project needs
- Ensure AIDE Canada is prepared for major changes in technology and platforms
- Stay current on emerging IT trends, particularly related to web related platforms and the Office365 suite
What you offer:
- A college or university degree in Information Technology or a related field (Substantial relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered).
- 5-7 years of experience working with azure based deployments
- 2-4 years’ experience directly supervising and mentoring technical staff
- Business acumen and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people
- Expertise in supporting networks, hardware, software and Cloud-based applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical and technical clients
- Ability to deliver business goals and capabilities through people, process and tools
- Demonstrated success in managing large, cross-functional projects
- Strong risk management skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Azure Web Services and a serverless architecture
- Familiarity with SLAs and ticketing systems
- Office 365 suite including Microsoft dynamics, Power BI, Flow, SharePoint
- Some experience working in HTML/JS
- General networking understanding including SSL, domain management
- Prior experience with Sitefinity, Koha, and/or Google analytics is a plus
- Prior PBX/SIP experience is a plus
- Amazon Web Services experience a plus
- Non-profit or social service agencies experience would be an asset
- A connection to the autism and/or intellectual disability community is highly desirable. If you are connected to our community, we encourage to include this in your cover letter.

Compensation: $85,000 per year plus benefits.Hybrid working option available.
