What You Will Do:
- Analyze and process Insurance premium payments, disbursements, and adjusting entries
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile financial transactions interfaced from various application systems
- Validate and reconcile commission payments and settlements
- Analyze and clear bank discrepancies
- Monitor Aged Receivables and initiate collection activities
- Liaise with cross functional teams to investigate and resolve billing issues
- Participate in defining and documenting business requirements for system enhancements
- Create and define test cases and review user stories
- Perform user acceptance testing to validate deliverables
- Provide accounting process and systems knowledge to end users and ensure new processes and procedures are fully documented
- Participate in project work and other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Business
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Intermediate to Advanced level
- Strong learning ability, natural curiosity, and team oriented
- Strong knowledge of testing disciplines and methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands-on, detail orientated, excellent problem solving and analytical thinking
- Experience with Guidewire and SAP is a great asset
- Experience within the Insurance Industry is preferred
