Job Description

The Learning & Development Associate (Associate) reports to Fair Chance Learning (FCL)’s Director of Learning Production (Director) and works closely with the entire Learning Production and Achieva teams to ensure coordination of efforts to reach the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. The Associate supports the development and design of learning experiences as part of FCL’s learning & development platforms, Achieva, which aids small & medium sized businesses without in-house learning & development resources in upskilling their workforce with in-demand 21st century skills.

Role & Responsibilities

The role of the Associate includes the following duties to be undertake in a professional manner to protect and promote Fair Chance Learning and its partners:

- Curriculum Design and Modification: take a lead role in designing, creating, and modifying the curriculum within Achieva to ensure a consistent brand voice and delivery of elevated learning experiences. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and the entire Achieva product team to deliver on Achieva's core promises while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Content Consistency: ensure consistency in content design, tone, and style across different learning modules and courses. Develop and implement guidelines for content creation and review processes, working closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure that from course-to-course the end-user experience is consistent.
- Continuous Improvement: regularly evaluate the curriculum and learning experiences within Achieva to identify areas for enhancement and modification. Monitor industry trends, collect feedback from learners, engage current & prospective employers, analyze data, and collaborate with the Achieva team members and subject matter experts to implement improvements that align with Achieva's core promises towards the goal of elevating the overall learning experiences.
- Collaboration and Communication: foster effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, instructional designers, marketing, and technology teams. Liaise with stakeholders to gather insights, provide updates, and ensure a shared understanding of the curriculum design and modifications.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends: keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in curriculum design, corporate learning & development, adult learning principles, and e-learning technologies. Apply this knowledge to enhance the curriculum within Achieva, incorporating innovative approaches and cutting-edge tools in collaboration with the Learning Experience Designer.

The additional responsibilities of the Associate include:

- Collaborate effectively across FCL teams (Achieva & others) to ensure program success and FCL’s ability to attract new opportunities.
- Contribute to the success, culture, and innovation of FCL by exhibiting a growth mindset.
- Support a work environment that values creativity, personal growth, and collaboration.
- Coordinate with FCL internal teams to develop and promote corporate and partner communications through the production of various content (i.e., videos, written and audio).
- Participate in social, conferences, and celebratory events related to FCL and its partners.
- Work in professional manner that will protect and promote FCL’s brand and reputation.
- Business travel as required to perform the above duties and responsibilities.
- Performing other duties that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned by the Director.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and modification, ensuring consistency and brand voice across learning materials.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, corporate learning & development, and curriculum development methodologies.
- Familiarity with branding and marketing principles, with the ability to integrate brand voice into the learning experiences effectively.
- Experience in conducting needs assessments, analyzing data, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in curriculum design, learning & development, adult learning, and learning experience design.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for maintaining consistency and quality in learning content.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

- $65,000/year @ 37.5hrs/wk
- 3wks paid vacation (+ 1wk paid holiday shutdown)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
