Job Description
- Process daily bank payments and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Responsible for accounts payable, monthly accruals, and payroll booking.
- Prepare all journal entries for daily accounting transactions.
- Manage inter-companies transactions and monthly reconciliations.
- Responsible for month-end closing.
- Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly reporting packages, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget preparation.
- Prepare and support with monthly HST filing process.
- Assist with internal and external audit queries.
- Perform government remittances and reporting.
- Responsible for periodic Survey of Statistics Canada.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solutions Code of Business Conduct
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
- 3+ years of progressive work experience in a full-cycle accounting function.
- CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Experience with foreign currencies is desirable.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with excellent time management skills.
