Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Quotations Specialist / Accounting Assistant will work closely with the Project Manager and the Lighting & Controls Designers and be responsible for:

• Reviewing all client document and electrical specifications, compare to Optecha design and contractor takeoff counts, address discrepancies with internal team and have a clear understanding of the project and overall objective
• Cross and recommend alternate products based on specifications, cost, or availability
• Acquire national pricing quotation from manufacturers
• Prepare and distribute quotations for lighting and lighting controls to bidding partners
• Follow up with bidding partners on status of project and to obtain the purchase order
• Assist Accounting with invoicing customers, registering bills, creating journal entries, reconciliations and maintaining accounting app

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in the Lighting industry is an asset
• Experience in quotations is essential
• Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Accounting background
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM tool (or ability to to quickly learn)
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
• Well organized and self-motivated
• Ability to multitask
• Positive attitude and a team player

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
