ST (Stephen Thomas Ltd) located just steps away from Toronto’s historic Distillery District, is a full-service marketing and fundraising agency dedicated to helping our clients raise more money. Currently, we are looking for an energetic, collaborative Accounting Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and work alongside like- minded team members.

Working as a part of the accounting team, you will support the financial well-being of the agency processing financial transactions, managing data and completing regular reports. You will engage with our creative, account and production team members to ensure flawless day-to-day delivery of all internal and external financial transactions. By working efficiently and mindfully you will contribute to a positive team environment. Please note the successful candidate will be required to work in the office environment.
- Accurate day-to-day data entry and reporting of accounting information to ensure the integrity of all financial and accounting transactions in the Accounting Department
- Contribution to a positive, productive team environment
- Process invoices, estimates, purchase orders, and other necessary project-related transactions on a daily basis
- Entering data and issuing documents from accounting software
- Prepare bank deposits, pulling and filing related accounts receivables
- Ownership of accounts payables
- Manage final reconciliation of all projects
- Ensure all internal and external billing is accounted for, tracked and processed
- Ongoing preparation of project analysis reports
- Regular analysis of project profitability
- Manage and maintain workflow of individual jobs through accounting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliation, invoice preparation, and general ledger data entry
- Complete and follow-up on accounts receivable collection calls as required
- Process internal company transactions
- Assist in other accounting tasks as required
- 3-5 years of experience or education in the field of accounting
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of or interest in fundraising and/or non-profit organizations an asset
- Analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure
- Proactive problem solver
- Diplomacy and strong interpersonal skills
- Conscientious/detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and in team environment
- Familiarity with Sage accounting software
- Proficiency in Excel
